Accomodations

Sea Star has a unique interior layout that can be used in 2 different ways. 

The one is by having 4 staterooms for 8 guest/owners plus accommodations for up to 6 crew.

The second is by having 5 staterooms for 10 guests plus accommodations for 4 crew as the finishes of the Captain's cabin fwd allow the cabin to be used as a third VIP cabin.

Main Salon

As you walk into the main salon from the aft deck double door you can not miss the beautiful center spiral staircase that takes you to all three decks of the yacht and the recessed ceiling with a center mirror and the high gloss Cherry wood trim. 

Immediate your entry at the port side you will find a buffet counter with black galaxy granite top, storage for glasses, china and a GE wine cooler. And to the starboard is the entertainment/game card table.

Moving forward and at the starboard is the oversized love seat and across is the couch for 8, 2 arm chairs and two ottomans.

A custom-built desk and storage cabinets for both sets of silverware along with a mirrored sculpture alcove is at the port side. 

Next to the Spiral staircase to the starboard is the day head and forward to it the custom cherry cabinet with burl inlay.

The large formal dining area is located forward of Spiral staircase and just before the Large Galley for convenience in service. The table can accommodate up to 10 people. Framing the dining area is a recessed ceiling and the ornate chandelier.

Master Stateroom

At the foot of the spiral staircase is the master stateroom. The foyer landing has a marble floor and an angeir cabinet w/ black lacquer inlay. Walking aft from the foyer you come to the double doors that open to a full beam master stateroom. The master is designed with a queen size bed and large marble top night stands with storage below. The dropped ceiling over the bed is ornamented with a tasteful combination of lighting and mirrors all framed in custom wood trim.

The full size his and hers cedar closets are located to port and starboard. A vanity is located to port with large drawers to the left and right of the vanity. The opposite side of the vanity is a large curve-shaped dresser with drawers for ample storage for long trips.

In the master bath you will find a full width his and her design. It includes two vanities separated by a large tub and shower. The shower is 40" x 40". The shower walls and floor are Emperdora light marble with pearlato inlays. The tub has Emperdora light marble on the wall and face to make an elegant area.

The doors of the master head and the double doors to the master, have been designed with a mirror in the center and an anigre cross wood pattern. Also this room has 4" crown moldings and base boards to enhance the beauty.

VIP Stateroom

Walking forward the hallway you will find the VIP stateroom. When you enter into the stateroom there is a queen size bed and two large night stands with marble tops. A drop down mirrored ceiling soffit makes guests feel like they are staying in the master stateroom.

There is ample storage in this room. In this stateroom there is a his and her full hanging cedar closet to port and starboard, a vanity has been located to starboard with large storage on each side and storage above to allow for extended cruising trips. The love seat to port to allows for reading or just lounging around. The head is done with marble floors and full size shower for two.

The starboard guestroom is truly another VIP. There's a queen berth with marble nightstand tops. The head floor is marble and has an oversized shower. To accommodate full length dresses there is a full size hanging locker aft.

Skylounge Salon

This unique sky lounge is designed with entertainment in mind. 

Entering via the main salon spiral staircase forward of the skylounge you will find the bar to the port, with 4 custom bar stools built to swivel and 3 gold column legs and SS foot rests. The bar is equipped with a U-line Refrigerator and Ice Maker, and a full liquor and glassware storage. The large 6 person couch and 2 club chairs is to the starboard.

This design is executed in cherry, burl inlay, and 4" crown molding on the ceiling. The Day head is conveniently located forward of the Bar and to the port side

Captain's Quarter / 3rd VIP

Located forward is the captain's stateroom with a queen size berth. The wood work is as plush as the guest staterooms. There is marble on the head floor. Also, there are night stands w/marble tops, and a ceiling soffit to accent the room.

Boat Deck

On the boat deck there is outdoor freezer for extra freezing space and a free standing cabinet with the gas Fire Grill. The twin Yamaha PWC are mounted at the port side and the Nautica 15 wide body with a 90 outboard to the aft. The 2500lbs Quicklift davit is aft of the tender.

Wheelhouse / Pilothouse

The Pilotstation is well laid out for optimal long range cruising with 3 pilot chairs and a couch for extra seating. 

To maneuvering stations are located at the port and starboard wings equipped with Engine controls, and bow thruster spring return lever.

Aft Deck

On the aft deck you will find a custom built teak table with an anigre wood inlay design. Custom seating is built in aft and there are 6 teak deck chairs for seating up to 12.

To the port corner is a U-Line refrigerator/ice maker and cup storage area for cold drinks. On the starboard side is the U-line under counter wine/drink fridge. A stainless steel and teak tread spiral staircase to the boat deck/ upper deck is located at the Starboard side. 

The Aft deck is also equipped with 2 Maxwell 3500 Capstans

Fore Deck

There is a sunbathing pad forward on the fore deck.

This fore deck is also the home for the 325 lb Navy style anchor with the Maxwell 4500 anchor system. Foot pedals located on the bow along with controls in the pilothouse.

You will find that the chain locker is not only storage for the anchor chain but also houses fenders and lines for the vessel on hooks and shelves.

Hull

This hull was designed with long range cruising in mind. Her Keel 3" below the props. She is solid fiberglass Below waterline. Above the water line the hull is constructed with divinycell foam core.aterline.

Builder's Remarks

Diane Byrne said it best in the Power and Motoryacht issue of October 2001. "The owners of the boat had fully designed a 150' Tri-deck motor yacht. The couple decided to build a smaller vessel with Hargrave Custom Yachts. The purpose of the project remained the same, however, so the final two years were spent designing and constructing the 109' Hargrave.

But just because they decided to build a smaller yacht doesn't change the scale on which the owners and Hargrave measure success. In fact, according to the owners they were able to incorporate many of the proposed 150-footers features without having to crowd them in."
