Smart Design Inspired by Demand
The 186-foot Hargrave turned heads the moment it arrived at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the largest yacht we had ever designed and built, which was showcased at the world’s largest boat show.
While it received wide acclaim, several clients said the yacht was larger than they needed and asked us to create something more practical. That request led to the development of the Hargrave 145’, a model that retains nearly all the features of the 186’, but with lower build costs, fewer crew requirements, and faster construction time.
And perhaps the best part? When the owner of the 186’ saw the 145’, he said: “Good heavens, if I saw this before I built my boat, this is what I would have built!”.

Machinery / Engineering
This yacht features commercial-rated main engines (CAT C32 ACERT or MTU 12V2000), paired with 100kW, 3-phase generators (CAT, Kohler, or Northern Lights). Enhanced maneuverability and comfort are ensured by TRAC hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, as well as zero-speed stabilizers. Hydraulic PTOs, robust anchor winches, electric capstans, and fully-equipped wing stations provide exceptional control.
Additional highlights include dual HRO water makers, chilled-water climate control, a hydraulic passarelle and boarding stairs, comprehensive fuel cleaning and transfer systems, black water treatment to Grade A standards, automated freshwater pumps with redundancy, and electric doors to key deck areas.
