Among Yacht Manufacturers, One Cruises Ahead: Hargrave

The Cutting Edge Must Be Kept Sharp

Some yacht manufacturers believe “There is nothing new under the sun.” That concept denies what most people seek in any quality product: “cutting edge.” Hargrave Custom Yachts works diligently ensure innovative design and high quality in every new yacht.  If you are looking for yacht manufacturers to build your dream, then consider the ways Hargrave Custom Yachts stays on the cutting edge.

The “101″ Is Still the Most Popular Place to Be

By far, Hargrave’s 101′ Sky Lounge designs are the most popular custom yachts they build. For over 10 years, the 101′ configurations have been a leader. Even though the style and dimension are the same, each is completely different. As with all Hargrave luxury yachts, no matter what the size or style, each is built around a specific owner; no two are ever alike. Today, two orders for 101′ Sky Lounge luxury motor yachts are under construction. One is being built for a new customer who has found the dream he wants to fulfill. The other one is for a third-time builder who already knows how well Hargrave can fulfill dreams.

“70″ Is the New “100″

A new design, a 70′ Sky Lounge motor yacht, is moving into position as an ideal cruising power yacht. Cruiser yachts typically are in the 110-foot-plus range. Two definite reasons that Hargrave is making the 70-footer cruiser popular are:

  1. Hargrave’s ability to get the most out of every square inch of interior space.
  2. The 70′ is quick, nimble, and more economical to operate.

While still having all the amenities usually only found on a large yacht, the interest in 70′ cruisers provides a more compact creation but just as luxurious. Hargrave has the 70-foot cruiser yachts already in construction and one of them could have your name on it.

A Hull Is the Sum of Its Parts

The general shape of a boat’s hull hasn’t changed a lot in centuries. New, modern designs and the desire to get more speed and range out of less fuel, has given the challenge to the best marine architects in the business. Jack Sarin is one of the world’s best known for squeezing efficiency out of hull designs. Hargrave has built several yachts using Jack Sarin’s high-efficiency hull. Originally created for the 90′ to 114′ range, Hargrave and Sarin have worked together to stretch the benefits for longer lengths. Jack Sarin’s high-efficiency hulls provide the platform for many Hargrave Custom Yachts. It’s just one more example of how one improvement becomes the platform for the next.

The Last Refinement is Only the First Part of the Next Refinement

Superior design doesn’t end with the hull, either. Another of the world’s noted marine architects, Ward Setzer, is now working with Hargrave on new innovations. Ward was once a student of the world-famous marine architect, Jack Hargrave, who is probably best known for design innovations of modern, American-style power yachts. He was also the founder of Hargrave Custom Yachts. Soon we will have some exciting news regarding these new Setzer super yachts.

Innovation + Improvement = Cutting Edge

Hargrave’s interest in the latest technology is not limited to popular entertainment and navigation gear, either. This past year, Hargrave entered a new joint venture project with Siemens of Germany. The project is to develop a new hybrid propulsion system and, as with high-efficiency hull designs, the new system will help push Hargrave yachts of greater size, greater distances, while using less fuel.

More Power for Power Yachts – Reinventing Electrical Service

Hargrave is also working with Kilo Pack to develop a turbine generator specifically for the 70′-135′ target market. The split mounting system will serve both the turbine and the electrical output. This is an ideal arrangement where generators are running almost constantly. With fewer moving parts, minimal service cycles and greater fuel efficiency, the new turbine generator will someday be a feature aboard Hargrave Custom Yachts. Can you see yourself being the first to cruise with magnificent technology? Buying a yacht now means the first one could be yours!

Clean and Mean: Pure Innovation

Hargrave’s yacht building program is beginning to incorporate the RINA Green Star Design elements. The RINA Green Star Design denotes improvements that reduce the carbon footprint of marine craft. Only Hargrave leaves no stone unturned at maximizing efficiency and purity wherever its unique, one-of- a-kind motor yachts travel.

Quality brings forth value; added value comes with customized innovations. The desire to start a new improvement based on the last, has earned the respect of our customers – and even other motor yacht builders. Quality. Value. and Customization is what makes Hargrave the world’s dominating force in 70′–135′ custom motor yachts. Do you want to see your dreams come to life?
